(Glacial) Acrylic acid, also known as IUPAC or propenoic acid, has CH2=CHCOOH as its molecule formula. IUPAC comes in a liquid state and is free from colour; the odour of the acid could be described as tart. Acrylic acid is the least complicated from the unsaturated carboxylic acids, as it contains a vinyl group that attaches to a carboxylic acid terminus. The acid could be mixed with alcohols, ethers, water and chloroform. It is mainly used in the painting and coating industry, which are the industries we sell to most.
