AROMATICS & HYDROCARBONS

Toluene

Toluene, also known as toluol, is an aromatic hydrocarbon. It is a colorless, water-insoluble liquid with the smell associated with paint thinners. It is a mono-substituted benzene derivative, consisting of a methyl group (CH₃) attached to a phenyl group. As such, its IUPAC systematic name is methylbenzene. Toluene is predominantly used as an industrial feedstock and a solvent.

Synonyms: Phenyl methane / Toluol / Anisen / benzyl hydride / CASWELL no 859 / CP 25 / formula No 06500 / methacide / methane, phenyl- / methylbenzene / phenylmethane / reference fuel, toluene / retinaphtha / solvent toluene / solvesso toluene

XYLENE

Xylene , xylol or dimethylbenzene is any one of three isomers of dimethylbenzene, or a combination thereof. With the formula (CH3)2C6H4, each of the three compounds has a central benzene ring with two methyl groups attached at substituents. They are all colorless, flammable liquids, some of which are of great industrial value. The mixture is referred to as both xylene and, more precisely, xylenes.

The three possible xylene isomers: o-xylenem-xylene, and p-xylene

Synonyms:                   mixture of isomers / formula No 00651 / mebon thinner type 2 / methyltoluene, mixture of isomers / mixed xylenes / paint / solvent xylene / violet 3 / mixture of isomers)

CYCLOHEXANE

Cyclohexane is a cycloalkane with the molecular formula C6H12. Cyclohexane is non-polar. Cyclohexane is a colourless, flammable liquid with a distinctive detergent-like odor, reminiscent of cleaning products (in which it is sometimes used). Cyclohexane is mainly used for the industrial production of adipic acid and caprolactam, which are precursors to nylon.

D40 / D60 / D70 / D80

The dearomatized mineral spirit product range are types of hydrocarbon solvents. Due to high degree of general refining theses solvets has an low level of impurities with an low odor. The D40 can be used as replacement for regular white spirit.

ISOPARAFFINIC SOLVENTS

Isoparaffinic solvents are high-purity, low-odor, low-toxicity solvents that are synthetically derived from hydrocarbon fluids. These solvents are available in a broad range of evaporation rates and are most commonly known for their selective solvency, low freezing point, narrow boiling point range, and compatibility with most packaging materials

Some of the applications are; Resins and Alkyd Paints, Odourless thinners, Hand soaps, and Aerosols

SOLVENT NAPTHA 100/150/200

Solvent naphtha is an intermediate hydrocarbon liquid stream derived from the refining of crude oil. It is most usually desulfurized and then catalytically reformed, which rearranges or restructures the hydrocarbon molecules in the naphtha as well as breaking some of the molecules into smaller molecules to produce a high-octane component of gasoline (or petrol).

We are commercializing various grades of this product. The most common ones are solvent naphta 100, 150 and 200.

SHELL, DOW, SASOL, EXXONMOBILE

SPECIAL BOILING POINTS

The special boilings points solvents group can be considered as aliphatic hydrocarbon fluids which are having paraffins and cycloparaffins in the C6-C10 range. The type of production of these solvents allows very low impurities.

WHITE SPIRIT

White spirit or mineral spirits , also known as mineral turpentine, turpentine substitute, and petroleum spirits, is a petroleum-derived clear liquid used as a common organic solvent in painting. There are also terms for specific kinds of mineral spirits, including Stoddard solvent and solvent naphtha (petroleum). Mineral spirits are often used as a paint thinner, or as a component thereof, though paint thinner is a broader category of solvent
