Methylene Chloride (MCL), also known as Methylene Dichloride or Dichloromethane, is a natural compound. MCL is a liquid free from colour, clear, volatile and carries a relatively sweet odour. It is used as an industrial solvent, mostly in the foam industry, where it is applied to mattresses and adhesives. Moreover, MCL can be used as a mighty paint- stripper and thinner. Dichloromethane's molecular formula is CH2CI2, and although it does not compound well with water, it does with many other organic solvents.
