Ethyl Acetate (ETAC), or Ethyl Ethanoate, has the formula C4H8O2. The compound is liquid and biological. Characteristics of the liquid are that it is free of color, has a sweet odor, and barely solves in water. ETAC is most commonly used as a diluent or solvent in manufacturing glues, coatings, paint, and nail polish removers.
