Linear alkylbenzenes, sometimes abbreviated as LABs, are related to biological compounds with molecular formula C6H5CnH2n+1. Usually, the value of n is between 10 and 16; however, often, the cut is even more minor like, C12-C13, C10-C13 and C12-C15 for detergent appliances. The chain, CnH2n+1, is unbranched. Usually, the manufacturing happens solely for the transition in the production of surfactants, for using them in detergents. Labs have arisen as the primary harbinger of biodegradable detergents.
