Isopropanol, or Isopropyl alcohol (IUPAC name 2-propanol), is a synthetic compound. The compound is free from colour, has a strong smell and is flammable. The synthetic formula is either CH3CHOHCH3, C3H8O or C3H7OH, and it is one of the simplest secondary alcohols. The alcohol carbon atom is connected to two other atoms, and this occasionally presents itself as (CH3)2CHOH, which is a structural isomer of propanol. IPA is often used in many different industries and households as a disinfection. Moreover, it is used in cleaning applications. The broad employability makes this one of our prime products.
We market several grades of IPA. However, most commonly Isopropyl alcohol of a 99,5% minimum and the maximum of 85% purity. 99,9% purity is also an option, but only on request.
