Isophorone is a liquid free from colour but can have a yellow-like colour on the market. Its' smell resembles peppermint. The fluid is an α, β-unsaturated cyclic ketone and is mostly used as a solvent and harbinger to polymers. Industrially, it is manufactured on a large scale.
