N-Propyl alcohol, also known as 1-Propanol or N-Propanol, is a fluid free from colour. The liquid is an isomer of 2-propanol and sometimes represents itself as n-PrOH or PrOh. During numerous fermentation mechanisms, N-Propanol is naturally created, however, in small amounts. In the pharmaceutical industry, the liquid is being applied mainly as a solvent for cellulose esters and resins and, occasionally, as a disinfecting agent.
